The Command with a Promise | Luke Robinson | FHL Church

<itunes:author>Luke Robinson</itunes:author>

The Command with a Promise | Luke Robinson | FHL Church

In this message, Luke Robinson takes us to Exodus 20:12 and the command to "honour your father and your mother" a command from God that comes with a promise.

Honour is more than a moment or a feeling. It is a posture of the heart that shapes the way we speak, respond and value those God has placed in our lives. In a culture where honour can easily be lost, Scripture invites us to rediscover its significance and the blessing that flows from it.

This message encourages us to consider what honour looks like in our own lives, relationships and families, and how choosing to live with a culture of honour can impact generations.

“Honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12

Paths and Crossroads | Jesse Wark | FHL Church

<itunes:author>Jesse Wark</itunes:author>

In this message, Jesse Wark takes us to 1 Kings 11:4–6 and the life of Solomon, exploring the paths we walk, the choices we make and the crossroads that can shape the direction of our lives.

Solomon began with a heart devoted to God, yet over time his heart was drawn away. His story reminds us that we rarely drift all at once, it is often through the small choices, compromises and directions we take along the way.
At every crossroads, we have an opportunity to consider where our current path is leading and to choose again the way of wholehearted devotion to God.

This message encourages us to pay attention to the condition of our hearts, seek God’s wisdom and choose the paths that keep us close to Him.
“His heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God.” 1 Kings 11:4

The Wrestle | Andrew Flaxman | FHL Church

<itunes:author>Andrew Flaxman</itunes:author>

In this message, Andrew Flaxman takes us to Genesis 32:22–32, where Jacob finds himself alone and wrestling with God through the night.
There are moments in our journey of faith when we find ourselves in the wrestle, between where we have been and where God is leading us, between what we understand and what requires us to trust.

Jacob walked away from his encounter changed. The wrestle became a place of transformation, where God not only blessed him but gave him a new name and a new identity.

This message encourages us not to run from the wrestling seasons, but to recognise that they can become sacred places of encounter—where we hold onto God, allow Him to transform us and emerge changed by His presence.

“I will not let you go unless you bless me.” Genesis 32:26

Youth Takeover | Skye, Caleb, Isla & Noah | FHL Church

It’s Youth Takeover Sunday at FHL Church!

In this special message Charlie, Skye, Caleb, Isla and Noah take the platform to share what God is speaking into their lives and what it looks like to follow Jesus as the next generation.

There is something powerful about hearing young people discover their voice, grow in faith and step courageously into what God has placed within them. This conversation is a reminder that our young people aren’t simply the Church of tomorrow, they are an important part of the Church right now.

A fun, honest and faith-filled message celebrating a generation who are learning to know Jesus, hear His voice and live out their faith with courage.

To Build | Jesse Wark | FHL Church

In this message, Jesse Wark takes us to Haggai 1:2–15 and the call to consider what we are building and where we are placing our priorities.

The people of God had become focused on building their own lives while the house of God remained unfinished. Through the prophet Haggai, God calls them to “give careful thought to your ways” and return to the work He had placed before them.

This message challenges us to consider what God is asking us to build in this season. Are we simply building for ourselves, or are we making room for His purposes, His house and His Kingdom?

A timely encouragement to realign our priorities, respond in obedience and put our hands to the work God has called us to build.

“Give careful thought to your ways.” Haggai 1:5

Devotional: Isaiah 45:2 | Andrew Flaxman | FHL Church

In this devotional, Andrew Flaxman reflects on Isaiah 45:2 and the assurance that God goes before us.

There are seasons when the road ahead can feel uncertain, difficult or even impossible. Yet God reminds us that we do not step into those places alone. He goes ahead of us, preparing the way, making the crooked places straight and breaking through the barriers that stand before us.

This devotional encourages us to trust God with what lies ahead, knowing that He is already present in the places we are yet to walk.

To Know Love | Jesse Wark | FHL Church

In this message, Jesse Wark explores what it truly means to know love, not simply as an idea or emotion, but through knowing God Himself.

The love of God transforms the way we see ourselves, the way we see others and the way we live. As we grow in our understanding of His love for us, we are invited to receive it, remain in it and allow it to overflow into the lives of those around us.

This message encourages us to move beyond simply knowing 'about' God’s love to experiencing it personally, and from that place, becoming people who reflect His love wherever we go.

To know God is to know love.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” Mark 10:45

The Revelation of John

The book of Revelation has fascinated, challenged, and confused readers for centuries. In this episode, we begin a careful journey through the first fourteen chapters, exploring the text through faithful exegesis rather than speculation.

Together we'll unpack the historical context, the rich symbolism, and the overarching message that John intended for the early Church while discovering its enduring relevance for believers today. From the vision of the risen Christ and the letters to the seven churches, to the throne room of heaven, the seals, trumpets, the dragon, the beasts, and the Lamb on Mount Zion, we'll trace the unfolding story of God's sovereignty, the perseverance of His people, and the ultimate victory of Jesus.

Whether you've studied Revelation for years or have always found it intimidating, this conversation will help you approach the book with fresh confidence, biblical context, and a renewed sense of hope.

This is not a search for sensational predictions, but an invitation to see Revelation as it was first given: an unveiling of Jesus Christ that calls the Church to faithful worship, steadfast endurance, and unwavering allegiance to the King.

Practicing the way- Sabbath // Jillie Flaxman // FHL Church

Practicing the Way: Sabbath | Jillie Flaxman | FHL Church

Continuing our 'Practicing the Way' series, Jillie Flaxman explores the practice of Sabbath and the invitation to step out of the hurry and busyness of life and into God’s rhythm of rest.

Sabbath is more than simply taking a day off. It is a practice of stopping, resting, delighting and making space to be present with God. In a culture that constantly tells us to do more, achieve more and keep moving, Sabbath reminds us that our identity is not found in what we produce, but in whose we are.

This message invites us to rediscover Sabbath as a gift, a regular rhythm that helps us slow down, trust God and become more like Jesus.

“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” Mark 2:27

That Church | Mark Kelsey | FHL Church

In this message, guest speaker Pastor Mark Kelsey shares a powerful word about the kind of Church we are called to be, a Church that carries the light of Jesus into the darkness.

Our world doesn’t need more darkness; it needs light. Jesus calls His people to be visible, hope-filled and courageous to carry His presence into our families, communities and everyday lives.

What would it look like to be 'that Church'? A people known for the light they carry, the hope they bring and the way they reveal Jesus to the world around them.

A timely encouragement to remember who we are and the light we have been called to shine.

“You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14

Devotional: Psalm 91 | Andrew Flaxman | FHL Church

In this devotional, Andrew Flaxman takes us through Psalm 91, a beautiful reminder of what it means to dwell in the presence of God and find our refuge in Him.

In seasons of uncertainty, fear or difficulty, Psalm 91 draws our attention back to the faithfulness of God. He is our shelter, our refuge and the One in whom we can place our trust.

This devotional encourages us not simply to visit the presence of God when we need Him, but to make our home there to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and learn to rest under His covering.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” — Psalm 91:1

**In Partnership with the Creator | Jillie Flaxman | FHL Church**

In this message, Jillie Flaxman explores Genesis 2:15 and the invitation we have to live and work in partnership with our Creator.

From the very beginning, God placed humanity in the garden not simply to enjoy what He had made, but to work it and take care of it. We were created to cultivate, steward and bring life to what God has placed in our hands.

This message invites us to see our everyday work, creativity, relationships and responsibilities differently, not as separate from our faith, but as places where we can partner with God and participate in what He is doing in the world.

Pentecost Sunday | Pastor Andrew Flaxman

On Pentecost Sunday, Pastor Andrew Flaxman takes us to Acts 2:1 and the moment the disciples were gathered together in one place when the promised Holy Spirit came upon them.

Pentecost reminds us that the Holy Spirit was not given simply for a moment in history, but to empower the Church to live, witness and carry the presence of Jesus into the world.

This message invites us to rediscover the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, to make room for Him in our lives, and to remember that we were never called to follow Jesus in our own strength.

Practicing the Way: Service | Andrew Flaxman

Continuing our Practicing the Way series, Andrew Flaxman unpacks the practice of SERVICE and what it looks like to follow the example of Jesus in laying down our lives for others.

Following on from ANZAC Day the day before, this message reflects on the powerful example of sacrifice and service we see in those who have gone before us, and brings it back to the way of Jesus.

Service isn’t simply something we do, it is part of who we are becoming as followers of Christ. Jesus modelled a life of humility, sacrifice and putting others before Himself, inviting us to do the same in the ordinary places of our everyday lives.

A message encouraging us to ask: "What does it look like for me to take the posture of a servant and practise the way of Jesus?"

In this message, guest speaker Pastor Chris Brown from 101 Church shares on the new command Jesus gave His disciples: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Jesus didn’t simply call us to love, He showed us what love looks like. A love that is sacrificial, intentional and recognisable to the world around us.

As followers of Jesus, the way we love one another is one of the greatest demonstrations of who He is. This message encourages us to look again at the way Jesus loves and allow that same love to shape our relationships, our church and the way we live.

Just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls with a tool in one hand and a sword in the other, these pastors step into their callings ready to build, protect, pray, and persevere. We explore what it means to lead in a season that feels like a new pioneer age: carving new paths, strengthening the weak places, and advancing God’s kingdom with courage and conviction. Join us as we honor the builders, the warriors, and the shepherds God is raising up for such a time as this.

In this episode, we explore the tension between our expectations of church and the reality of God’s work in community, drawing inspiration from the early church in Acts. Many of us hope for a “perfect,” always-blessed, thriving church—but how can we respond when reality falls short of that ideal? Together, we’ll reflect on how the early believers navigated their expectations, built authentic relationships, and embraced kindness toward one another. Join us as we discuss practical ways to cultivate generosity, patience, and grace in our own faith communities, learning to approach church life with hearts that are as open as they are hopeful.

In this episode, we talk about God’s heart for creativity and His call to bring artists, dreamers, and innovators back into the life of the Church. From the beauty of creation to the craftsmanship in Scripture, God has always used creativity to reveal His glory—and it’s time for the Church to make space for that again. We’ll explore how to nurture creative gifts, remove barriers that have kept creatives on the margins, and reimagine what worship and ministry can look like when creativity is welcomed and celebrated. Join us as we invite the creatives back to the table and rediscover the divine spark that inspires the Church to create with purpose.

Communion and community at the table.
Luke 19:1-10

Jesus often met people around a table, a simple, sacred space where lives were changed. In this message, we look at the story of Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1–10) and discover the beauty of communion and community at the table. It’s a place of belonging, forgiveness, and transformation. Whether we gather with family, friends, or those still seeking, the humble table reminds us that everyone is invited, and Jesus always makes room for more.

Knowing we are loved by God through every season.
Luke 10:30-37

In a world that rushes and measures worth by speed, God reminds us that love is slow. Through the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30–37), we see that love takes its time, it stops, notices, and cares deeply. This episode explores what it means to be fully known and loved by God in every season, even when life feels hurried or uncertain. When we slow down to receive His love, we learn how to love others with that same patience and grace.

In this message, we’re reminded that God can use anything we place in His hands. Just as Moses’ staff became a sign of God’s power, and a few loaves and fish fed thousands, what we surrender to God, no matter how small, can be transformed for His purpose.
What’s in Your Hand? challenges us to stop waiting for more and start trusting God with what we already have. When we release it to Him, miracles happen

Jeremiah 6:16 (ESV):
'Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.' But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'"

God is calling His people to return to the “ancient paths”, the timeless ways of righteousness and faithfulness that bring life and peace. The “roads” symbolise the choices and directions in life, and God invites people to pause, reflect, and choose the right way. Walking in these paths leads to rest for the soul, meaning true spiritual peace and fulfilment.

These young adults are the real deal; honest, humble, legit and raw!
Onebody worship are the new sound!
They are the next generation!
In the background of our conversation, the carpark was full of 4WD’s with P-plates, surfboards on roofs, wetsuits, guitars and amps…
Absolutely LOVE this band and you will love this conversation!
